Sales Solution Engineer

Preligens has developed efficient monitoring tools based on an automated analysis of geospatial information and multiple other sources. By combining state-of-the-art AI techniques in both Computer Vision and Deep Learning, Preligens provides its customers with more reliable and more precise information, thus enabling faster interventions for a safer environment.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting the technical excellence of Preligens products. Being a key technical advisor and product advocate, you will assist the Sales teams understanding customers needs, identifying and demonstrating our products ability to fulfill them. As a member of the Product team, you will acquire and maintain the expertise needed to ensure Preligens technical offers are both ambitious and realistic.
This job will require a security clearance and frequent travel.

MAIN AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY / PÉRIMÈTRE DE RESPONSABILITÉS
Assist the sales team selling/upselling products/solutions to customers and prospects by providing them technical expertise along all stages of the sales process from qualification to closing.
Coordinate the discussions with product managers, tech leads and product marketing managers to ensure the quality of technical offers.
MAIN ACTIVITIES / ACTIVITÉS PRINCIPALES
Act as a subject matter expert for Preligens’ products
Provide presales, technical assistance and product education
Interact directly with customers and their technical experts to review, understand and gather requirements
Contribute as a product expert to the writing of offers Preligens provides to customers (requests for information, tenders or ad hoc offers)
Coordinate internal work to prepare such offers with both product managers and tech leads, being responsible for the quality of customer requirements description
In cooperation with the product marketing managers, develop and make technical presentations and demonstrate how Preligens’ portfolio will meet customers’ requirements
INFLUENCE ON RESULTS / DIMENSIONS CARACTÉRISTIQUES
3 years of professional experience in remote sensing, defense or geospatial industry
Master’s degree in Engineering / Business or related experience
Excellent analytical skills
Proven ability to translate technical requirements/specifications into clear & understandable solutions
Excellent listening and communication skills
Ability to present in front of large audiences and to military customers
Excellent cross-functional skills across sales, product, marketing and others
Self-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
Experience working with government customers, ideally Defence & Intelligence
Proficiency in both English and French
