They have grown by more than 4 times in less than 2 years and have recruited more than 60 Data Scientists. Preligens is a scale-up offering software solutions for the defence sector and has experienced rapid growth over the last two years.
Today, I'm talking to Marie-Caroline Corbineau, Data Scientist in Preligens' R&D team, about the effects of this influx of new contributors on their ability to develop and deliver state-of-the-art algorithms that meet the needs of their clients.
Marie-Caroline discusses her background and her arrival at Preligens before focusing on the ML infrastructure they use internally. It is this AI Factory that allows them to reduce the time needed for product iterations and to deploy faster.
ABOUT POST MORTEM
In Post Mortem, engineers reflect on real-life incidents of IT systems they experienced.
In each episode, we zoom on a specific event, ranging from a system outage, a cyber-attack, or a machine learning algorithm going wild with production data. We try to understand what happened and how the people behind those systems solved the situation.
Along the way, you'll get hands-on advice shared by experienced practitioners that you can implement within your team to limit the risk of such incidents.
